It is said that these dice originated in the halls of the old firesmith Arvax,
whose forge stood in the heart of a dormant volcano.
Arvax was considered the master of all heat magicians –
He could shape the heat itself like others shape clay or steel.
When the volcano began to tremble again after centuries,
An inexplicably gentle, honey-colored glow emanated from its crevices –
"The tears of the earth," as the fire priests called them.
Arvax collected this ember and mixed it with magical resin.
